margaritaville
Negril was at the top of our must-see list during this trip to Jamaica. Most of us had never been before, aside from my Mom, decades ago. Coming from Montego Bay, it was about a 2 hour drive through busy & bustling parishes, quaint towns, and an abundance of greenery to make for a scenic trip. I've heard nothing but amazing things about the white sands at 7 Mile Beach, so I knew that should be our first stop. We started our day-trip to Negril at Margaritaville for a bit of fun in the sun. When we finally got to see our eyes on the oceanfront, we were not disappointed. The white sand was as pretty as I thought it'd be and the water was so calm. While I did dip my feet in the water and took a long walk down the 7 mile beach, I spent most of my time at Margaritaville sippin' on piña colada's and people watching.
Rick's Cafe
A world-renowned hot spot for the breathtaking sunsets and cliff-jumping activities for daredevils, I knew that we had to make time to visit Rick's during our day trip to Negril. After a few hours at Margaritaville, we made it to Rick's Cafe just in time to catch the sunset and grab some dinner. While none of us jumped off the cliff into the ocean, it was fun to watch those who dared to.
